It adds value to any property.

At G & A Manufacturing your Floating Dock will receive a level of detail from start to finish unmatched by any other manufacture in the industry. Please Stay Safe.
Commercial Products verses Residential Products
The question between what is a product manufactured for commercial use verses a product manufactured for residential use? Simple answer is quality. Why not just build everything at commercial grade? Well the cost to the consumer. Say you are shopping for a 3’ X 20’ Aluminum Gangway and you price one at one company for $2400 but then see another from a different company for $1900. Which gangway will get the closer look? The one with the lower price point of course, but buyer beware and read the small print. The cheaper gangway will probably be manufactured for residential use. Meaning the material used is probably not as thick or a lesser grade and the welds are fewer or at less length. Something had to be done to price that gangway for $500 less. .
Manufactures are doing about everything possible to keep their prices to the consumer low so they beat the competition. They shop material, streamline manufacturing processes and eliminate waste. “Lean Manufacturing” So per the example in the paragraph before if you see a $500 difference between two gangways of the same size and type of material, one is probably built with lesser material, fewer welds at less length. And in the small less highlighted section of the product description you will probably find the word residential.
At G & A we use the words Residential and Commercial to describe the areas that we manufacture for. However everything we manufacture is what people would, will and can describe as commercial grade. Our philosophy is to build our products using the best materials using the best manufacturing processes while doing everything possible to keep price points down. Please stay safe everyone.

IS THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS RIGHT?
Well that question has a few different answers depending on whose shoes you’re standing in. Here’s the triangle. If you are the customer you know you are right. The customers mind has formed a perception of what the service and or product should be like prior to even receiving it. The service or product may be spot on or maybe it wasn’t. Bottom line the customer already had a perception of that service or product they were to receive, and if it doesn’t meet their perception, well unhappy customer. So now we go to the small business owner that provided that service or manufactured that product being consumed. They may or may not believe the customer is right. It doesn’t really matter what they think, but they better act as if the customer is right and take action to make the customer happy again. For the small businesses these actions are as much a part of their business plans as the logistic of how they provide a service or manufacture a product. The small business owner wants return customers, customer referrals and good google reviews. Plus if the issue was legitimate they want to prevent future mishaps. Now we get to the forgotten part of this triangle, the worker who provided the service or produced the product. I won’t give the uncensored version of their thoughts on this subject, however here is the clean version. They are thinking that they provided that service or produced that product 100% by SOP and would like to defend their own honor and that of their company. Most people are competitive by nature and don’t want to fail and this usually translate to their work environment as well. Plus we are usually inherently loyal to our employers.
So customers you should know this, the small businesses want your complete satisfaction. Whether it is a service or a product you purchased that you’re unhappy with give that business a chance to correct it. Know small businesses are working hard each day to earn and keep loyal customers and employees. And the majority of workers strive to give or produce the best product available in the marketplace they produce for.
Well I didn’t solve any world problems this time, but please support your small businesses and stay safe.
Aluminum Railing verses its rivals.
There are several reasons to choose Aluminum Railing over its rivals Iron Railing, Wood Railing or Vinyl Railing. Iron Railing gets hotter to the touch and it’s also subject to rusting. Wood Railing only last 10 to 15 years with proper maintenance and can splinter leading to injuries. Vinyl Railing lacks strength and in my opinion looks kind of cheap. Now Aluminum Railing is strong, doesn’t rust, it’s attractive, classy and it can last a lifetime, thus making it the better value. So in my humble opinion if you need Commercial or Residential Railing contact G & A Manufacturing Inc. and let us help you design and we manufacture a strong and durable, forever lasting attractive and classy Aluminum Railing for your next project.
Product Shipping Load Plan Safety.
Another load of G & A Aluminum Gangways heading for the great northeast, to one of our distributors Ninigret Marine in Rhode Island to be exact. Our team takes as much care and pride drafting load plans and executing those plans as we do manufacturing the Gangways you see loaded. We know nesting and securing these loads properly is paramount for safety and good for business. No one wants to purchase product that has been damaged due to a load shift, improper stacking or worst case scenario it become completely unsecured an falls off the transport vehicle. No one wins if that happens.
So please put as much emphasis in your quality plan and execution of that plan when in pertains to loading and shipping your product as you do manufacturing it. Remember we all have family members traveling the same roadways as these loads. Keep it safe.
Floating Dock Practicality vs Fixed Docks
Aluminum Floating Docks are usually a more practical choice when compared to a fixed dock. Floating Docks conform to changing water levels. A Floating Dock can be more easily re- positioned or removed if needed. Floating Docks are more affordable. A Floating Dock after being manufactured and delivered can be installed and ready to use within a day. However a Floating Dock by design float and tend to be less stable while traversing them compared to a fix dock.
G & A Manufacturing Inc. Floating Docks are manufactured from light weight durable aluminum and can be designed and manufactured to meet your specific need.
